Wielka Brytania, 1935 rok. Wdowa Louisa Durrell (Keeley Hawes) nie ma łatwego życia. Jej mąż umarł kilka lat temu nie zostawiając jej zbyt dużo pieniędzy na życie. Borykająca się z poważnymi finansowymi problemami matka czwórki dzieci pewnego dnia decyduje się na desperacki krok. Postanawia przenieść się z najbliższymi na grecką wyspę Korfu. A pleasant environment, pleasant characters and a story about a family that decided to move from England, throw everything behind and start a new life in a place where no one cares about how much money they have, but how pure their soul is. Sometimes the episodes are a bit weaker, sometimes more serious for a change, but here and there I really wholeheartedly laughed. After the first season, I hope that this show will keep this up and will continue at a similar pace in the coming years. I think that this story about a relaxed life on Corfu could be here for the long run.
