Patric's family life is in crisis. He forgets his son's birthday, money is tight and the wife is nagging about Patric's drinking. Patric boasts about his promotion in the local Statue Factory and promises that everything is going to change. But can he fool anyone? The papers declare that the Factory is shutting down. The Manager has disappeared and Patric is talking bullshit about his promotion. The family is worried about Patric's sudden change of behaviour.
