It's the classic family film where the main focus is on children triumphing over evil adults, in this case, aided by the sci-fi gadgets that appear in the story. A few familiar faces appear here, most of them awkwardly pretending. The film somewhat surprises with the presence of digital effects, but there aren't many, just as there isn't much fun to be had with the film.
