A young rock band, half from England and half from the US, drop out of college and move to the Sunset Strip to chase their dreams. Living in a van, their passion and talent exceed their means to survive. An enigmatic stranger sees their true potential and emotionally manipulates them during a time of weakness. American Satan is unnecessarily stretched, which is too bad, because if it were just a little shorter, it would be a little better, a little more bearable. It's got horror elements, it's decently decadent in places, and there's some pretty good hard music in it. For how independent the film looks, it's a good one.
