À tous les vents du ciel

During a vacation in South Africa, 17-year-old Claire loses her entire family. It would have been her instead of her young brother, who should have died together with their parents. But she took the blame for a broken window, which is why her father excluded her from that fateful daytrip into the wilderness. And then the inconceivable happened. Now Claire is on her own, but before the child welfare office can get its hands on her, she bolts – and goes on a rough but also wondrous journey into adulthood that is shaped by encounters with extraordinary characters. Just like fate whimsically decided to spare her, she lets herself drift between a death-wish and the longing for sanctuary. (Internationales Filmfest Oldenburg)
