The Purgation is bad. It has a story that tries to be imaginative, but overall the execution and the possibilities of the filmmakers don't lead to any imaginativeness. It rather leads to scenes that can make your fingers curl from how poorly they are delivered. And yet, beneath this strain, you'll have a feeling that maybe it didn't have to be so bad, that perhaps there was potential somewhere in there after all. But no one took advantage of it.
