It doesn't work as a comedy, but in the context of family movies, it's not such a disaster. In movies like this, I especially appreciate it when they feature real dogs and not just their digital surrogates, so the amazing Labrador in the title role finally convinced me to give it three stars. However, if I had focused on the script and the quality of the performances, I would have gone lower with my rating. (50%)
