Athens 2015. Five murders. Dimitris Lainis, a criminology professor with Asperger's syndrome, undertakes to assist police in solving the hidden mystery behind these five murders. His only allies are the puzzle of the Pythagorean theorems and Marcel De Chaf, a professor of mathe-matics, who as another "deus ex machina" will lead Lainis towards the solution to the mystery. The closer he gets to solving the murders, the more he enters dangerous paths. (Moscow International Film Festival)

“All the world looks up to your historical personages, only you – the Greeks – want to be like the rest of the world,” are the words of a professor of mathematics played by François Cluzet that convey the nature of this film in a nutshell. The Other Me is a Greek attempt at a thriller genre movie with giallo elements, in which we track down the killer through the interesting calculations of the “father of numbers”, Pythagoras, and his philosophical statements, only to eventually muck it up with a stupid climax with a culprit who had already come to mind in the middle of the movie. This would only be OK as TV detective movie.
