Bokser Chris (Til Schweiger), były aktor Peter i ekscentryczny specjalista od reklamy Max od lat odkładają pieniądze w tym samym banku. Każdy z nich jest o krok od realizacji swoich marzeń, gdy okazuje się, że pieniądze wyparowały. Ich rachunki prowadził ten sam doradca inwestycyjny Tobias. Niestety dyrektor banku za wszelką cenę chciał się pozbyć Tobiasa i swoimi machinacjami sprawił, że rachunki jego klientów w jednej chwili stopniały do zera. Teraz czterej panowie, bez grosza przy duszy i bez perspektyw, postanawiają zemścić się na banku i jego dyrektorze. (Cineman)

A pretty decent German comedy with nice actors who want take revenge on a bank because it ripped them off. Til Schweiger is great, the humour didn't quite work for me, after all the Germans are behind compared to France, but I wasn't bored. An unpretentious feel-good movie. 60%.

Four Against the Bank is a brisk and exceedingly funny comedy, whose success lies mainly in the interaction of the four leading actors and in the appealing premise, which is on the one hand generic, but in this case well handled. Each of the "criminals" has a completely different profile, yet they complement each other perfectly, both in the heist and on the comedy line. In short, an enjoyable comedy that doesn't stand on tacked-on scenes and acting, as is often the case with such films, but is clever and smartly delivered.

German comedy and German porn have one thing in common - they usually do not serve the purpose they were made for. But to my surprise, this bunch of losers managed to offer decent entertainment. Given other circumstances I would have given an extra star, if only the creators hadn’t approached logic as something unacceptable. Sure, it was just a comedy, but I would still expect better work with the script.
