The story takes place in Japari Park, an enormous integrated zoo built somewhere in this world. A mysterious substance found there, called "Sand Star," causes the animals to turn into humanoid beings called "Animal Girls"! These new creatures spend every day peacefully with the zoo's visitors... but after some time, a lost child turns up in the park. The child's attempt to find the way home turns into a great adventure with the Animal Girls! (Crunchyroll)

If this were meant to be an educational show for kids, where the animals are portrayed as cute Lolita girls, I probably would not have had any issues. If it were an extremely cute piece of moe nonsense about girls in animal costumes, then I probably would not have had a problem either. However, I do not think it is a very good idea to combine the two and make it a children's show that teaches kids about animals and some nonsense about some amorphous creatures known as "Ceruleans" and a bizarre robot rabbit. The narrative seems quite peculiar, and the fact that it is probably aimed at kids and based on the game is no excuse. I think the gameplay elements could have easily been left out. Somehow, even if I ignored the issues mentioned above, considered it a cool moe, and even forgave the poor animation, I still could not imagine wasting twenty-four minutes every week watching this show. Dropped after the first episode.
