Russians live next to Circassians, Armenians and Greeks in Veseloye – the village near Sochi. Armen is the son of the khinkali café. He is in love with Serafima whose father-Old Believer (Markel) is against their relationship. Unexpectedly it's announced that preparations for the Olympic Games start around Sochi, and construction jobs with guest workers rush into the village. Veseloye' inhabitants give a hostile reception to all these changes and try to make any possible trick to foil the Olympic events. Little by little the Olympic horror is changed with joy caused with construction of new roads, schools, hospitals and new job offers. Some cross-cultural conflicts stop as well.
