Francuski thriller wyreżyserowany przez wielokrotnie nagradzanego Ericka Zonkę. W rolach głównych wystąpili Vincent Cassel i Romain Duris. Detektyw Francois Visconti ma poważne problemy z alkoholem. Pewnego dnia zgłasza się do niego matka zaginionego chłopaka. Visconti czuje, że nie ma wyjścia przyjmuje sprawę, głównie dlatego, że zaginiony jest w wieku jego córki. Poszukiwania niestety nie przynoszą rezultatów. W sprawę angażuje się nauczyciel chłopaka, Yann Bellaile, który dla detektywa jest coraz bardziej podejrzany. Jak wyjaśni się ta sprawa? (Canal+)

Vincent Cassel's drunken Colombo staggers from shot to shot, greasily interviews the hilariously sleazy Romain Duris, and Erick Zonca lends money to people cheaper and more calmly, sadly lacking even a basic idea of how a detective story builds and is supposed to work.

Black Tide is not as epic and action-packed as contemporary Scandinavian detective stories and there is no need to see it on the big screen, but it is still good in getting the viewer involved. Set in a police office, a few apartments and in the woods, Black Tide stands on dialogue, detailed depictions of interesting characters and their fresh interactions, as well as on the Duris’s elusive teacher and
Cassel’s latest brilliant character, an eccentric alcoholic detective. We do not know what roles the
