I don't really like Amy Schumer, but I liked her vision of being beautiful because the confidence she got out of nowhere gave the film a lot of juice and made for some interesting situations to laugh at, and I always like seeing Emily Ratajkowski. Too bad the second half is more serious, but the dancing scene is a highlight. Good for one viewing. 60%. ()

angielski A comedy for women that tells women that they are not beautiful or desirable because they do not look like supermodels on the covers of men's magazines. Instead of fighting the institutionalized ideal of beauty and passing on the message to the audience that superficial appearance doesn't matter as much, the film tells women the exact opposite. The film first gives women the idea that they should feel bad if they look at least a little like the main protagonist (but Amy Schumer is definitely not ugly), and then includes them in situations where it is repeatedly presented that every woman who doesn't look like the model from the advertisement is fat and ugly. The highlight is the conclusion in which the main protagonist has a motivational speech in front of many other women, saying that all women are as beautiful the way they are, but it’s only there to advertise a new series of affordable cosmetics. It's not even very funny for comedy – which makes sense when the entire plot is based on a single joke. ()

angielski Amy Schumer was really entertaining for about 3/4 of the film (her dance at the bikini contest made me laugh to tears). I was going to give five stars but then came the awful final part full of propaganda and enthusiastic applause from the crowds, and my long-term allergy to such things made me reduce my rating by one star. It’s a real shame that everything must be made completely obvious to the American audience using a wailing siren and fireworks so that they don’t miss it. Until then, I was really enjoying the film. angielski My first encounter with Amy Schumer was much better than I expected. I couldn't help but laugh while watching her confident creations. In fact, I was entertained almost every time she appeared on stage, so almost all the time. I didn't even mind the sometimes incorrect humor. (70%) ()
