The Czech translation of the title of the British movie Slaughterhouse Rulez was not very good as it was called something like Kick-Ass School, which is a bit off and does not make much sense. The school feels a bit like Hogwarts, even if there is very little magic involved. Slaughterhouse Rulez wants to have its cake and eat it by being both a horror movie and a movie accessible to everyone. It has more comedy than horror, plus a fantasy element, which is to be expected. Adults are probably not going to enjoy it much, although I am not sure kids will either. (23.10.2019)

I was excited to see this film because my favorite pair of actors Pegg/Frost were in it. I was looking forward to a silly affair the likes of Hot Fuzz, but I was disappointed. There was very little humor (just occasional flashes), the script wasn’t worth much, and I was bored all too often. The two stars might be too high a rating, but I had to give one for Michael Sheen alone. (05.08.2019)
