At the Ariel photo studio in downtown Mexico City, portrait photography has resisted change. Francisco continues to use technology from the 1940s. For color portraits he uses a technique that is both artistic and archaic. He takes a black- and-white photograph and colors it with oil paint. (Morelia International Film Festival)
