Baking in the sun with a cocktail, a splash in the pool and the occasional chunk of human flesh. The stinking-rich Gilda and Octavio have a gruesome and kooky hobby. The Cannibal Club is a dark-comic blow-up of the Brazilian super-rich... Otavio and Gilda are a wealthy Brazilian couple who enjoy partying with friends and living a luxurious lifestyle. They look like any other upper-class people, but in reality, they belong to a social club for cannibalistic elites. When Gilda accidentally witnesses Borges, the head of the club, involved in some secret activity, she and Otavio must survive the threat of Borges and his hired guns. (Cinemax)

It seemed to me as if the Brazilians wanted to shock, but they were terribly afraid to make it into, following the example of A Serbian Film, their own distinctive Brazilian Film.
