Burning Hope

Burning Hope is the story of an unlikely friendship between Zeineb, Elyssa, and Houssine, two young women and a teenage boy whose paths cross on the night President Ben Ali flees Tunisia, January 14, 2011. After a violent and tragic encounter with a police officer, they each try to move on with their lives. Situated somewhere between hope and despair, the film's strengths lie with its characters, whose stories depict frustration and courage against the backdrop of a changing social and political landscape in Tunisia.
