Stella Grant jak każda nastolatka nie odrywa się od laptopa i z całego serca kocha swoich najlepszych przyjaciół. Od innych nastolatek odróżnia ją jednak to, że większość życia spędza w szpitalu, cierpiąc na mukowiscydozę. Jej życie to zwyczaje, zasady i samokontrola – to dzięki nim żyje. Wszystko to zostanie poddane wielkiej próbie, gdy pozna czarującego Willa Newmana, również pacjenta szpitala. Ich rodzącą się bliskość torpeduje dystans, który muszą od siebie zachować – trzy kroki – aby nie pogorszyć swej sytuacji zdrowotnej. Tylko jak to zrobić, kiedy uczucie zaczyna wymykać się spod kontroli? A do tego Will nie chce się leczyć, nie wierzy w życie odmierzane dystansem trzech kroków. To właśnie Stella spróbuje wszystkiego, by zawalczył o życie i zdrowie. (UIP)

Soundtrack Review: We know Brian Tyler’s work mostly because of his iconic scores for blockbusters such is the series of The Avengers films, Fast & Furious series and other action epic films. It was very surprising to see his credits in a teenage drama film, and even more interesting to listen to how his unexpected collaboration with a quite unknown Breton Vivian turned out. Together, Brian and Breton managed to create a beautiful touching soundtrack full of incredible melodies performed by diverse instruments. From old school sounds and retro pads, to modern guitar supplemented by a nice clean soft piano. The soundtrack in this film just does what it is supposed to. It greatly emphasizes the emotions which we can feel through the film. It’s a sad story with some beautiful moments and a touch of love.

I was quite bothered by the crude attempt to wring as many tears and emotions out of the audience as possible, but in the end I couldn't help being moved. The casting of the central duo with unglamorous acting faces was a very good choice: the chemistry between the likeable Haley Lu Richardson and the charming Cole Sprouse simply worked well. Plus, I really believed that they were in love. And the romantic-toned soundtrack was also a success. (70%)
