Niemcy, rok 1957. Prokurator Generalny Fritz Bauer otrzymuje kluczowy dowód w sprawie miejsca pobytu podpułkownika SS Adolfa Eichmanna. Zbrodniarz odpowiedzialny za masowe deportacje Żydów ukrywa się w Buenos Aires. Bauer, sam pochodzenia żydowskiego, nie ufa niemieckim władzom, wówczas niechętnym rozliczaniu nazistów, dlatego informację o Eichmannie przekazuje izraelskiemu Mosadowi. W następstwie grozi mu oskarżenie o zdradę stanu i ujawnienie jego skrywanego homoseksualizmu. Jedynym sojusznikiem Bauera okazuje się młody prokurator Karl Angermann. (Aurora)

Fritz Bauer was way too intense. I know he meant well and wanted to take revenge on the monsters of what was then Germany. But somehow, he intruded into the work of Mossad and he didn’t quite understand that there are more important things and people in life than him. It could have been an interesting film, but Fritz’s story is bit too forced and superfluous. The movies which show Adolf Eichmann with all his mind processes are far more interesting. Compared to this, the story of Fritz Bauer is quite boring.
