In the quiet Danish town of Sorgenfri, the Johansson family lead a contented life. What We Become is a top-shelf Danish production based on the overused template of American small-town zombie movies. It contains everything from Romero’s more atmospheric Night of the Living Dead to Snyder’s more fun Dawn of the Dead. And absolutely nothing else. An unnecessary film.
