Den andre Munch

The Munch Museum in Oslo commissions the author Karl Ove Knausgård (My Struggle) to do a job. Based on his unique perspective, he is to create an exhibition of Munch’s work. Joachim Trier and his brother Emil follow Knausgård as he visits Munch’s home, archive and the environments where he painted his most famous works. Joachim Trier and Knausgård discuss the ongoing work, and Trier notices several connections between the Munch exhibit and Knausgård’s own authorship. The Other Munch is an entertaining and inspiring film that sheds new light on two of modern Norway’s foremost artists. (Göteborg Film Festival)
