The Sliders finally reach the world of Quinn's brother but only have two hours to find him. They soon see a glider crash into some trees, and Colin Mallory steps from the wreckage. The Sliders are forced to defend him when a group of farmers tries to kill him. Sheriff Dawson arrives to stop the brawl, and allows the Sliders to take Colin away. Colin, the resident genius of this technology-deficient world, is oblivious to the townspeople's hatred of him. Most residents believe his inventions are works of the devil, but he has won the heart of the lovely Susannah, against the wishes of her Mother. When Quinn breaks the news that they are brothers, Colin finds it difficult to believe – until, after tearing up Colin's home in a search, Quinn finds the microdot, and places it on his brother's forehead. Colin is given the same images Quinn had accepted, from their birth parents on a parallel world. With minutes ticking down to the next slide, Quinn finally coaxes Colin into joining them on the quest for their parents' world. The group slides into a normal-looking Los Angeles which Colin finds fascinating. They check into the hotel, where their request to pay cash is considered unusual, in a society which charges everything to your DNA or bone graft account. (iTunes)
