Opiekun (S01E01)

Unlike The Next Generation, the crew of Mrs. Janeway debuts in style. The action-packed pilot has both good tricks and a clever script, and an impressive atmosphere, but which hides a slightly weaker and less imaginative crew. However, the fact remains that Kate Mulgrew is a captain on the level, and she has a particular tangible gender charm in the original English-speaking version. As in any good Star Trek, the tension in Caretaker is not only about the clash with the unknown, but also a personal conflict - this time a clash between the Federation crew and the apostate Maquita led by the charismatic Indian Chakotay. The pilot thus contains all the good stuff that the subsequent series brings, without weak points and unnecessary talk. I'm just disappointed by the small role of the doctor (undoubtedly the funniest character in the series) and a lot of space given to Neelix (undoubtedly the most annoying character in the series).
