Gambit is due to meet an agent called Travis but he finds him dead, clutching a can of film. When Steed views the film, it shows soldiers fighting in a forest. There seems to be nothing special about the film, but he knows it must have been important. A general disappears and a wounded soldier is kidnapped from a country hospital. Suspicion falls on the commandos at a nearby army base, and Steed, Purdey and Gambit have to find out what is going on. (BBC)
