I was expecting it to be a strongly political film, but it's actually only political, or rather anti-regime, in the sense that it portrays something that Castro denied - homosexuality. It's portrayed quite decently, although some actors are a bit too shallow. The plot may not be captivating, but as a theme, it's well executed in the context of 1993.
