La asfixia

Ana sometimes is short of breath; her mother thinks it’s because during her pregnancy, for a moment she couldn’t breathe. It was the afternoon of February 13, 1982, the day her father, Emil, was detained and disappeared. Now, amidst the silence and fear that reign in a post-war society, Ana submerges herself in the memory of those who knew her father, in the memories that have not been spoken or have been hidden, the only place where the remote possibility of finding his remains and attaining some sort of justice.
