Główny bohater filmu, gangster Zhou, wpada w poważne tarapaty. Po tym, jak omyłkowo zastrzelił policjanta, sam staje się ruchomym celem. Jedyną szansą dla mężczyzny jest ucieczka. Pomocy Zhou szuka u miejscowej prostytutki. To właśnie kobieta ma być jego łącznikiem ze światem. Zwłaszcza że nikomu oprócz niej nie może zaufać. W pogoń za bohaterem rusza bowiem nie tylko żądna zemsty policyjna jednostka specjalna, ale i skuszeni potencjalnym zarobkiem łowcy nagród, a w tle pojawia się również była żona mężczyzny. (Aurora)

The Wild Goose Lake is visually outstanding, the constant rain is heavily noir, and the very first shot of the movie is simply delicious. In general, however, it is a chaotic yawn fest with many scenes and
details that are supposed to make the narrative original or even artsy, but instead just draw the focus
away from the things that are important to the storyline. As a result, it lacks dramatic drive and its
