Olka (Zofia Domalik) ma siedemnaście lat. Za ciągłe ucieczki z domu dziecka, sąd umieścił ją w zakładzie poprawczym. Pewnego dnia spotyka tam Andrzeja (Adam Cywka) i Irenę (Jowita Budnik). Gdy dowiaduje się, że mieszkają blisko jej dawnego domu rodzinnego, wymusza, by zabrali ją na wakacje. Dla niej to szansa, by wreszcie dowiedzieć się więcej o swojej matce. Though the subject of this chamber drama is not very original, but with several powerful scenes and Zofie Domalik’s heartfelt performance, you will not forget it. For a directorial debut, it is a respectable effort and if Małgorzata Imielska had placed greater emphasis on one of the supporting motifs (the attempt to participate in the Olympics, the friendship with one of the girls) and effectively grafted onto it the intellectual and emotional potential of the main storyline about the longing to find one’s mother and family background, the film would have reached an even higher level. As it stands, the film is “only” another impressive depiction of the suffering of a virginal angel in an ugly world. [3Kino Fest]
