Morgen sind wir frei

Iran, February 1979. After the fall of the Shah, the Islamic Revolution sweeps the land. Full of love and hope, the young chemist Beate (Katrin Röver) follows her husband Omid (Reza Brojerdi), an Iranian dissident living in the GDR, to his home country. But after the initial euphoria the situation for Beate and her 8-year old daughter quickly deteriorates. While the new, revolutionary government turns into an ever more ruthless regime, Beate’s family have to make a fateful decision. (Filmfest Hamburg)
