I had mixed feelings about the first season. I can't stop thinking about how much better it could have been if they’d only had a bigger budget. The rather closed atmosphere was a bit detrimental to the whole thing. Despite that, I enjoyed all the episodes (with one exception), and I wasn’t bored in the least. Adriana Ugarte portrayed a likeably unlikeable character, but since almost all the others were criminals, she could be rooted for. Opening episodes are often weaker, but this one defied expectations. From start to finish, I was thoroughly engrossed and it nearly earned a five-star rating from me. Admittedly, objectivity may be out the window here, especially with the delightful retro atmosphere that I adore so much. Plus, the casting of Adrian Ugarte in the main role is simply fantastic. The English dubbing is unfortunately a complete disaster, but this annoyance doesn't affect my rating. 4*+ (28.06.2020)
