This documentary is a record of the memories and lives of the few surviving Japanese "comfort women" living in China. Of the 200,000 victims taken as comfort women by the Japanese army during World War II, only 22 remain in Mainland China. Their stories echo each other; the life of a woman who was taken from Joseon by the Japanese, never to be able to return home; the story of a minority woman born in China; and the story of a woman who was taken by the Japanese while fighting for the independence army. Their experiences are not just one nation's problem, but connected throughout Korea, China, Japan, and other areas in Asia. (Busan International Film Festival)
