In the war-torn Chechen capital Grozny, the citizens spend days in freedom-less agony and sorrow in the bleak city, twice burnt down by consecutive wars. After Ramzan was made president with Putinian Russia's support, life in Chechnya is a long series of political repressions, constricting customs, forced Islamification and failure to adopt the recent history. Four women film the cruel realities of the war-time on video, the despair of the people facing the indifference of the international community, moans of parents who lost their children, completely changed cities, all the shocking irrationalities permeated into daily life and the risk of being forgotten. In the pressed rhythmic speed that the headlines change day by day, this marvelous film reminds us of the Russian-Chechen conflict, as it faithfully fulfills its duty as a documentary film.
