Duża ryba i begonia

I would not have believed that a Chinese animated production would ever manage to keep me glued to the screen like that. However, this was something so beautiful, emotional, profound, and fascinating that I could not help but give it my highest rating. The animation is gorgeous and impressive, the soundtrack is excellent, the characters are interesting, and the whole thing is really powerful and captivating. It has places where it is a little sluggish; however, its charm still managed to win me over. It has that strong and mysterious touch of Eastern culture that I like so much, and it is full of the originality and fantasy that I enjoy so much. At times I was about as entranced by it as I was when I first saw Hayao Miyazaki's best work; that's how good it was at times! If I had to sum it up in two words, I would probably choose - almost perfect. 9/10. (08.02.2017)

It is hard to say to what extent the creators were inspired by Eastern mythology, which is still a great unknown to me. Once I set aside the many inconsistencies and let my imagination run wild, I actually quite liked the fairytale story tinged with a touch of poetic melancholy. (75%) (23.04.2021)
