Starcy na chmielu

An introverted teenager, Filip, who loves to quote Seneca, falls in love with his lovely classmate while picking hops. Beautiful Hanka moves to his provisional sanctuary in the attic, but she remains just a friend of the idealistic boy for a long time. Seemingly honest heartthrob, Honza, who is a prototype of a careerist conforming to the regime, tries to seduce the girl. After failing and embarrassing himself in front of his followers, he comes up with a malicious scheme. This evergreen with its widely popular songs – inspired by the American hit, West Side Story – discusses, with great wit, the official phraseology as well as the Communist pseudo-morals.
