A harmony of two different cultures is not a bed of roses. The Brits, the Pakistani, the Muslims, the Indians… They all meet in this story to beautifully showcase the kind of trouble that can arise when the benevolent Europe meets with the strict rules of the East. Maybe that’s also the reason behind the movie title. In any case, it was shot by an Irishman, so it made me laugh from the bottom of my heart a few times, but I also sighed at all the eastwards things that I find illogical. It was a pleasant, but occasionally also sad clash of two (or more) completely different cultures.
