After Wendy (Chelsea Field, The Last Boy Scout) leaves her overbearing husband, she takes off into the voids of Africa where she picks up a hitchhiker (Robert John Burke, Limitless). Not realizing the danger she is in, a police detective (Zakes Mokae, Waterworld) tries to warn her that her companion is not only a serial killer, but also a shape-shifting demon who steals his victim's souls. angielski Having seen Richard Stanley's first movie Hardware, I already had some notions of what to expect from this particular filmmaker. So, with Dust Devil (the extended 110 minute version), his style of storytelling is even more lengthy and poetic. To some it might seem like it is just a weary and exhausting watch, however, others will be able to immerse themselves in the slow-moving and mysterious story that sits on the border between westerns and Satanic horror movies, and may appreciate the unique mythology and low-budget production. The whole thing has a dark, despairing, existentialist tone, and no one will be dancing around after watching this. ()
