Fire! Fire!: Four men in raggedy clothes hang out in the devastated city. Communication is limited to physical needs, the valuable held in the highest esteem is a piece of bread and belonging to each-other, the petit-burgeois romanticism of love. Hungarian pizza. Penniless family in a rental apartment in Budapest with the man unemployed. As exceptional luxury, they order home pizza. The pizza-boy is followed by homeless men with empty stomachs. The grotesquely reserved dinner ceremony suddenly turns into a fight. In the end two survivors, the professor and the young boy embark on a perhaps not entirely futureless journey in the city. The Great Hungarian Brain Death. The direct sending of the great brain death is on the national media stage, and absolute freedom is questionned by strange body-guards. Cynical nostalgia, national romanticism and illusions mix with the elements of a petty, rude and low-level reality. It is all playing and flesh-and-blood reality at the same time. In the end the author says good-bye to the audience by waving his hand in this repeatedly re-written and confused drama. Or is the performance just about to start? (oficjalny tekst dystrybutora)
