Jest mroźna zima 1918 roku. Przez kraj przeszła pierwsza wojna światowa i grypa hiszpanka. Wielu ludzi nie żyje, a niezliczone ilości duchów utknęły na naszym świecie. Tomás chodzi od wioski do wioski i fotografuje zmarłych. Za sprawą napotkanej osieroconej dziewczynki Anny, trafia do miejsca, które różni się od poprzednich. Nocą słychać tu niewyjaśnione odgłosy, ludzie umierają bez przyczyny, a na fotografiach Tomasa pojawiają się niewyraźne, nieznane postacie. Tomas, choć widział i przeżył niejedno, czuje się nieswojo i postanawia uciec z tego miejsca. Jednak nocą ma wizję i nabiera pewności, że duchy naprawdę istnieją. Wie, że musi im pomóc. Wraz z Anną wyrusza w ekscytującą podróż śladami duchów. Trzeba dowiedzieć się, jakie są ich intencje i im pomóc. Tylko czy to jest możliwe? I bezpieczne? (Warsaw Film Festival)

The Hungarians have once again delivered, this time with a quality ghost story that immerses you in a fantastically gloomy and oppressive atmosphere. What stood out to me was the absence of cheap jump scares; instead, the creators crafted a cohesive narrative that slowly builds up the tension. Post-mortem photographs have made their mark in horror films like The Others, but the Hungarians took this concept further. Unlike typical Western ghost horror movies with a group of paranormal experts, this story was set in the Hungarian countryside shortly after the end of the Great War. It was morbidly refreshing to see the returnees from the afterworld fight against an elusive enemy. I found myself thoroughly entertained throughout, though towards the end, I felt the creators rushed things a bit. The story deserved a more elaborate conclusion. And poor Marcsa, such high hopes... / Lesson learned: Be cautious of unstable ground.
