Lloyd Handwerker was born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island, studied photography at The Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY and received an M.F.A from NYU. He has traveled extensively in his over 20 years in film production as both an Assistant Cameraman and Cinematographer on both narrative and documentary features, shorts and music videos. His life-long passion has been creating a documentary film about Nathan's Famous of Coney Island, started by his grandfather Nathan Handwerker in 1916, a project he began almost thirty years ago. He lives and works in Brooklyn.
