Has made his studies in Chile and in the United States. For some time he has been successfully working of the National Television of Chili. Debuted in cinema having made several short film and documentaries. In 2001 he made his first feature-length film UN LADRÓN Y SU MUJER/ A THIEF AND HIS WIFE bases on the story by Manuel Rojas. His later filmography includes a short film CORAZÓN VERDE (2002) and a documentary LA TRIBU DE LAS PALABRAS (2002), and also several episodes for different television series. PADRE NUESTRO/ OUR FATHER (2005) became his second feature film, which was was Chile's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
