Seung-wan Ryoo

Filmmaker. He caused a sensation among South Korean audiences and critics with his debut film, Die Bad (00). Following other successful films like No Blood No Tears (02), Arahan (04), A Crying Fist (05) and The City of Violence (06), he earned a place of honor in the new Korean cinema alongside his friends Park Chan-wook and Kim Ji-woon. His nickname is “Action Kid” because of his predilection for thrillers and criminal dramas, always approached from a unique point of view.
