Biografia

Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Magnolia Martin attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts film school and graduated from the University of Miami School of Communication with a double major in Motion Pictures and Theatre Arts. Her credits include assisting National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry in assembling his work for the Phaidon Press Limited publication, Portraits; working in public relations at Fine Line Features in NY; collaborating with actors on the ABC daytime series One Life To Live on a hurricane relief CD, One Life, Many Voices, and assisting the team at Capsule Media as an associate producer. Martin is in the final phase of production on her own documentary, Facing The Habit, following a heroin addict from Miami to Mexico before, during and after undergoing controversial treatment for addiction. Her previous short film, Drifting, about a young mother's conflict with responsibility and freedom won the Best Production Award at the University of Miami Film Festival.
