Selwyn Ward

Selwyn Ward has the distinction of having broken a major barrio in children's television a few years back. He became the first black person to take on the coveted role of the Red Power Ranger in the highly popular Saturday morning children's series, Power Rangers. The Red Ranger is the star of the show and the leader of the group so it was a major breakthrough when Selwyn took on the role. But not one to be typecast, Ward has had leading parts on other televison series, such as Moesha and the popular daytime soap opera, Passions among other appearances.
