Lukas Dhont

He was born in Ghent, Belgium, and graduated in Audiovisual Arts at the KASK School of Art in his native city. His short films Corps Perdu and L’Infini won numerous awards, and the latter qualified for the Oscars in 2015. In 2016 he participated in the Cinéfondation de Cannes, where he was resident with the project of his first feature film, Girl, which was later premiered in Un Certain Regard at that festival, winning four awards: the Caméra d’Or, the Fipresci Award, the Best Actor Award and the Queer Palm.
