Rafael Villa Nova Aidar was born in the city of São Paulo, being of Lebanese and Spanish descent. As a teenager, he took part in the school drama group where we was studying. He also took part in a variety of drama courses for theatre and for television that comprises 4 years of acting lessons. Such experience is of great importance due to the fact that it gave him the opportunity to focus on an essential area for film production: directing actors. He graduated in Cinema at Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP), in São Paulo, where he had the opportunity to develop different roles in different audio-visual productions. Simultaneously, he took up photography lessons in a variety of well-known schools. After graduation, he managed to combine video and photography in his work in independent projects for 2 years. In 2006, Rafael joined the team of Novacia Comunicação and Marketing, an important communication agency in the city of São Paulo, where he developed his career as a scene director, scriptwriter, journalist and project manager. O Pacote (2013) is Rafael’s cinema debut.
