Biografia

Mexican actor Leonardo Ortizgris studied at the School of Philosophy and Letters at UNAM. He has worked with theater directors such as Carlos Corona, Perla Schumacher, Alejandro Ainslie, Emanuel Márquez and Juliana Faesler, among others. In 2002 he participated in his first short film Al Higadote and later in others such as La Bufanda del Cielo, Estamos por Todos Lados and Pensándolo Bien. 2008 marked his debut on the big screen with the film Wadley, later joining several successful independent projects such as Güeros (2014), by Alonso Ruizpalacios, in which he shared credits with Sebastián Aguirre, Tenoch Huerta and Ilse Salas. He has also been part of different TV series, including Las 13 Esposas de Wilson Fernández (2017) and Aquí en la Tierra (2018), by Gael García and filmmaker Kyzza Terrazas. Some of his other projects include the feature films Clases de Historia, El Club de los Insomnes and Museo, a film that recreates the 1985 robbery of the Anthropology Museum, in which he works again with Ruizpalacios.
