Ga-young Jeong

A graduate of the Korea National University of Arts, Jeong Ga-young directed several short films before she self-financed her first feature, the black-and-white Bitch on the Beach (2016), in which she also played the titular and confrontational lead. Her sophomore film Hit the Night, screening at NYAFF, won her the Vision-Director’s Award at the Busan International Film Festival.
