Amat Escalante

Director, producer and screenwriter. He was awarded at Cannes, 2013. He directed Sangre, Los Bastardos and Heli. He also was also showed at the Rotterdam International Film and in the International San Sebastián. In 2001 he studied sound and editing in Spain at CECC. He studied at EICTV in Habana, Cuba. When he came back to Mexico, he directed the short film Amarrados (2002), which was awarded at BERLINALE. En 2016, his movie The Untamed was chosen to compete in the 73rd Venice Film Festival.
