Fernando Bernués is a founding member of Tanttaka Teatroa and Tentazioa Produkzioak and has developed a recognised career in theatre, cinema and television. Worthy of mention among the works he has directed for theatre are El florido pensil, Novecento: El pianísta del Océano and Sueños de una noche de verano (A Midsummer Night’s Dream). For cinema he has co-directed with Mireia Gabilondo the feature films Kutsidazu bidea, Ixabel (Show Me the Way, Ixabel, 2005), presented in San Sebastian’s New Directors section and Mugaldekoak (2009), screened in Zinemira. Soinujolearen semea (The Accordionist's Son) was part of the Official Selection at the Huelva Festival.
