Biografia

Regina finished her traditional studies and also started studying opera, from the National Conservatory to the Juilliard Musical School in New York. It was doing cabaret that she met Jesusa Rodríguez, and they travelled the world for many years with operistic-cabaret shows. Her histrionic skills earned her an Ariel by the hand of Arturo Ripstein for Profundo Carmesí. She has been the “Lady of the Lake” in the Spamalot, musical from Monthy Python. She is the voice of the “Tetona Mendoza” in the film adaptation of El Santos contra la Tetona Mendoza. Her eight music records are a testament of her musical, expressive and playful proposal. Among her more recent work, highlights include her participation as Miss Hannigan in the musical Annie, the voice of Raksha in Jungle Book, the presentation of her record Pedazos del Corazón, in collaboration with Omara Portuonda at the Bellas Artes Palace in Mexico City, as well as her participation as Amalia in the Televisa TV series Mi marido tiene familia, an international success.
